There is another airport in Medellin, called Olaya Herrera Airport (airport code: EOH). This airport is located within the city, but it only serves national flights.

There are currently no direct flights from Europe to Medellin. However, Air Comet will add direct flights from Madrid to Medellin in February '09. Until then you can reach Medellin from Europe by flying through Madrid (Spain)(MAD) (served by Iberia, Avianca and Air Comet) or Paris (France)(CDG) (served by Air France). In Latin America you can either go through Bogota (Colombia) (BOG) (served by Avianca, AeroRepublica, SAM) or Panama City (Panama) (PFN) (served by AeroRepublica). There are many flights a day from Bogota to Medellin and the flight only takes 45 minutes. There are also several flights per day from Panama City to Medellin.
How to get from the Airport to Your Hotel or Apartment
The airport is about 30-45 min. outside the city of Medellin and can be reached using the Las Palmas express way. The ride is stunningly beautiful. We can arrange an English speaking driver for you. The cost is COP 50,000 (~US$ 25). The car will be a big, modern and comfortable car with plenty of legroom and a large trunk for your luggage. Our models can welcome you at the airport, if you want. In this case, the cost for the transfer is COP 100,000 (~US$ 50).
