Another piece of good news for Colombia: Foreign direct investment rose to $5.24 B from $4.26 B in the first half of 2008. That's an increase of 23%!

This is just another indication that President Uribe's strategy of increasing security all through the country is paying off in a big way for Colombia. Foreign investors are not afraid anymore to invest in Colombia.
